We've made some progress over here. After loosing my "plug", I started some major, 3-minute apart kind, contractions a couple days ago and spent the day in the hospital being monitored. But I plateau'd at a 3 dilation/75% effaced, and was sent home to monitor my contractions from here. The contractions were so intense I immediately came home to float in the tub, while husband ran around finishing packing our bags, installing the car seat and tidying up a bit.
Low and behold, the bath helped, and my contractions slowed down and aren't as intense. I was able to eat and take some "naps". Now I'm just waiting to see if my contractions pick back up or my water breaks...
That could be anytime, or I could be in this limbo for a week! The good news is baby boy is not just head down, but low, locked and loaded. The nurse could feel the top of his head when she checked my cervix.
Ooo, I just can't wait to meet him! Just want to hold him against me so bad, I dream about it. Only a little bit longer....

ReplyDeleteWhat an exciting time! I am so happy for you! Glad everything is going so well for you all! My first daughter was due Dec. 17th! By Christmas Day, she still hadn't arrived, and I was quite sad. Dr. told me they would induce if she didn't arrive, 10 days from Due date...so she was born Dec. 27th! So we have a Christmas child here! That was 27 years ago!!! What a joyful time for the arrival of a new baby! Take care!
